Quality policy

The ENRESA mission is the efficient management of the radioactive wastes produced in Spain, the ultimate aim being to protect persons and the environment. Consequently it is a public service that has Society as its client.

What Society expects of us is the safe, efficient, effective and transparent management of radioactive wastes, for which we have developed a Quality Management System based on the following commitments:

• Compliance with the legislation and standards on nuclear safety, as the basis of all the company’s activities.
• Availability of human resources with the training, skills and professional experience appropriate for efficient and committed management of the company’s activities, this being a pre-requisite for quality.
• Extension of the principles of quality to all the company’s key processes, ensuring the infrastructure required to achieve its objectives.
• Assurance of the on-going improvement of all the company’s processes through the continuous evaluation of both management overall and of safety-related processes in particular.
• Providing the company Management System with the resources required to allow for the continuous external benchmarking of all its activities.
