One of the pillars supporting any adequate Environmental Management System is planning. In accordance with the standards, Enresa contemplates three fundamental requirements in its planning: the identification and assessment of environmental aspects, exhaustive control of the legislation and the periodic programming of objectives and goals.
Identification and assessment of environmental aspects
Each of the facilities adopts a systematic approach to the identification of those environmental issues that has or might have a significant impact. Also in place is a dynamic and continuously updated, documented and contrasted process for the evaluation of these aspects.
Control of the legislation
Every month the environmental legislation is monitored and the facilities are informed of any new requirements. In this respect the management tools required to access this information are in place.
Objectives and goals
In keeping with Enresa’s commitments and policy and in clear convergence with the concept of on-going improvement, the facilities periodically establish programmes of environmental objectives and goals. The aim is to detect and identify areas for improvement and later schedule the actions required to achieve such improvement.
